I am a writer.
My short stories have been published in the journals Potomac Review, Hawai'i Pacific Review, The Doctor T.J. Eckleburg Review, Saw Palm, Fantastic Floridas, Necessary Fiction, Grey Sparrow Journal, The MacGuffin, Platte Valley Review, Pindeldyboz, Pif Magazine, The Northville Review, and elsewhere. No Other Way, a novel, was published in 2012 by Moonshine Cove Publishing. My literary Creative Nonfiction has appeared, or is forthcoming, in the journals Border Crossing, Whole Terrain: Journal of Reflective Environmental Practice, The Coachella Review, Saw Palm, Concho River Review, Evening Street Review, EarthSpeak Magazine, Sugar Mule, and The Explicator. In addition, some of my recent environmental journalism has appeared in Scientific American, Yale Environment 360, The Atlantic, Mother Jones, and Grist.org. I hold an MFA in creative writing from Florida Atlantic University (2012). I write from Sarasota, Florida, where I live with my wife, our son and daughter, and Tuxedo cat, Atticus.
I am also the founder of Little Curlew Press, an independent literary press that publishes works with a strong ecological undercurrent, including place-based eco-fiction, environmental nonfiction, and environmental journalism.
