Nov. 20, 2015 Reading and Talk
I read from No Other Way and a short-story-in-progress during my presentation titled "Birds of Dusk: a Reading and Talk on Portraying Nature in Eco Fiction" at the beautiful Fort Myers Beach Public Library. During this presentation, I also shared other authors' works that exemplify how fiction can examine and advocate for the environment. Great questions after the reading and talk led to a conversation about important ecological topics, such as environmental balance, as portrayed in fiction — and a lighter discussion on bird feeders. Thank you to everyone who attended!
